Day 1 Arrive in Xining Welcome to Xining! After your arrival at the airport, you will be met by our tour guide and then be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day will be on your own. \
Day 2 Xining In the morning, your tour guide will take you to visit Kumbum Monastery, which was built in 1560 in Huangzhong County and belongs to Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Afterwards, you will cross over Sun & Moon Mountain (Riyue Mountain), which has always been a distinguish line between meadow and agriculture area. Later on, make an excursion along the Qinghai Lake, the biggest salt lake in China and is acclaimed as "pearl on the highland". Stay overnight in the hotel nearby Qinghai Lake. B,L
Day 3 Xining After breakfast, you will be driven from Qinghai Lake to Delingha, the capital city of Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. After driving about 200 km, make a layover by the Chaka Salt Lake, a potentially beautiful place. In the late afternoon, arrive in Delingha and stay overnight there. B,L
Day 4 Delingha-Dachaidan- Golmud Firstly, you will be driven to Golmud, which is 330km away from Delingha. And then be taken to visit Keluke Lake in Delingha, Qarhan Salt Lake in Golmud, and Wanzhang Salt Lake (Thousands of Zhang Salt Bridge), which is actually a broad main road built above the Qarhan Salt Lake and 60 kilometers to the south of Golmud. Stay overnight in Golmud. B,L
Day 5 Golmud – Kunlun Pass-Tuotuoheyan The full-day excursion will take you from Golmud to Tuotuoheyan. You will first drive through the vast wilderness and Qaidam Basin on the Tibet-Qinghai Plateau and go on upwards to cross over Kunlun Pass. After that, pass by the First Bridge over the Yangtse River. Later on, arrive in Tuotuoheyan. B,L
Day 6 Tuotuoheyan - Nagchu Today, you will trek about 490km from Tuotuoheyan to Nakchu. Firstly, You will go southwards and cross over the Tangra Shan Mountain. On the way, you will visit Zangbei Bata and Tsona Lake which is the highest fresh water lake in the world. B,L
Day 7 Nakchu - Namtso Lake – Lhasa Finishing breakfast, you will be first driven along the vast Qiangtang Grassland and cross Lhachen La Pass to Namtso Lake, the highest salt water lake in the world. After lunch, drive to Lhasa and stay overnight there. B,L
Day 8 Lhasa The full-day sightseeing in Lhasa today will start from Potala Palace, the landmark of Lhasa, which was built in the 7th century by Songtzen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet. The present palace was built by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century and later served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas as well as the religious-political nexus of traditional Tibet. In the afternoon, go to visit Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibet. After that, take a walk and do some shopping on Barkhor Street, the oldest street in Lhasa. B,L
Day 9 Lhasa Your tour guide today will firstly guide you to Drepung Monastery, which was once the largest monastery in the world and housed 10,000 monks in its heyday. It is about 5km away from the center of Lhasa. After lunch, proceed to Sera Monastery, which means wild rose in the Tibetan, because the hill behind it was covered with wild roses in bloom when the monastery was built. Afterwards, move forward to Lhasa Tibetan Hospital. B,L
Day 10 Lhasa In the morning, you will first go to visit Ganden Monastery, which is recognized as an important monastic university. In the afternoon, continue to visit Tsurphu Monastery, which used to serve as the traditional seat of the Karmapa. B,L
Day 11 Lhasa After breakfast, you will be picked up and escorted to the airport for your next destination. B
