The Forbidden City

Day 01Arrival in Beijing

Our well-trained English-speaking tour guide & private car/van will pick you up from the hotel in the morning. You will be driven to Tiananmen Square: one of the largest squares in the world, which can accommodate one million people for public gatherings. After 30 minutes touring around Tiananmen Square, you will walk directly into the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City, occupying 72 hectares (180 acres) was the residence for the past Emperors (24 emperors in total) in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Olympic Green (Bird's Nest included). You will be taken back to your hotel in the evening.
