Planning First Trip to China - Visa Question

My friend in WAYN have a question, hey,Guys ,who can anI am planning on going to China but not until december. And i was wondering what kind of documents i need. I read a bit about it and it says i need a visa and passport.

I am a Canadian Citizen and I have a passport already. But i do not have a visa. How would i go about getting one and since i am not going until Decemeber would i have to wait until December to apply for one? What is the process.

I am planning on staying in China for 2 weeks, i will be renting a hotel.
Is there anything else i should know?

You should pay a visit to the nearest Chinese embassy to get your visa. It's probably better to get it a month before your departure, in your case, around Nov.

You should learn some basic Chinese if you plan on going off the beaten track. If you are in the major cities, you could probably get by with English.

If you can state your specific cities, maybe I can offer you better advice.Tongue out
